I’m going to level with you here: I get most of my news from Facebook and Twitter. That’s not to say I don’t use legitiment news sources; I follow CNN, Breaking News, NY Post and USA Today, and will visit BBC News when I’m fed up with all of those. What I’m saying is I don’t use apps or regularly visit websites to read the news. However, when I’m using my iPad, my news source of choice is the beautifully redesigned USA Today for iPad app.

One of my favorite things about the iPad (and its nice big screen) is the ability to draw, sketch and take notes on it. I think it offers a unique experience as far and going paperless goes, and a lot of developers have put time and effort into designing apps that emulate drawing with a pen and paper. It’s no secret that I’m a big Google fan. I like using all of the tools they have to offer, including email, calendar, RSS reader, operating systems and of-course, cloud storage. When Google first announced and released Google Drive for Android and a little later for iOS, I was really excited — only to find out that while I could edit files on my Galaxy Nexus, I could only view them on my iPad. Well some time has gone by since then, and Google has made improvements to it’s iOS app. Let’s see how they stack up! (more…)
Let me start by saying this: I am a huge Star Wars fan. I love the movies, I love the collectibles, I love the video games. So of course when Rovio announced they were making a Star Wars themed Angry Birds game, I was all over it. I was looked at video clips and screens shots while patiently awaiting the release date. And then it came, and I quickly picked it up.
