See below on how to win a free promotional code for MonsterMusic!
Who’d have thought that when the iPad was released back in 2010 that you’d be able to create music on it using friendly monsters? Well, that’s what the developers of MonsterMusic, BubbaMoney Studios have managed to create, who we’d like to thank for kindly sponsoring iPad.AppStorm this week!
The App Itself
MonsterMusic comes in two different versions – a free version and a paid Pro version – and the app is geared towards kids wanting a distraction from endless sessions of Angry Birds and Candy Crush Saga. The app is educational and geared at kids (or adults, of course!) from 4 onwards and was recently bestowed the honour of being featured in Apple’s “New and Noteworthy” section a few weeks back.
I had a good play around with the app and it was really nice to see a developer who actually takes pride in his app’s interface. There are so many apps out there on the Store that scream promise but look like they’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards, so MonsterMusic really is a refreshing change from the norm. You (or your child) can play with 4 “sets” of monsters to create a tune to your liking, including vocal ones, electronic ones and classical ones.
The app is so easy to use and you can even layer sounds up to create a multi-dimensional monster audio experience (literally). OK, it’s no GarageBand, but even your dear editor, at the tender age of 24, spent a good hour sat in bed playing around with it!
Go Get It!
As mentioned above, MonsterMusic is available in both free and paid versions. The free version will give you the basic functionality of the app but if you really want to delve in and get creating some monster beats, then it’s worth splashing out $2.99 on the Pro version. MonsterMusic is also completely universal, so will work on your iPhone as well, and requires iOS 5.1 or later.
It’s Competition Time!
Thanks to the kindness of the developers, we’ve managed to gain 5 free promotional codes for the Pro version (worth $2.99 each) which we’re giving away to our readers! Entering the competition is really nice and simple:
