This week’s weekly sponsor is PDF Max Pro, an advanced PDF reader with support for annotations, note-taking and form-filling.
I personally am not a fan of the default PDF reader on the iPad, Preview, as it’s simply a very watered down version of the Mac version, with almost every single useful feature stripped out. There’s no support for annotations and all you can do is read PDFs in it – there’s no iCloud sync (like in iWork on iOS) with your Mac and, unless you succumb to iBooks, you can’t store PDFs natively on your iPad. Hence, most iPad users turn to third-party PDF readers which provide far more features, often at a tiny price.
Read on to find out how to win 1 of 5 free promotional codes for PDF Max Pro!
The App Itself
PDF Max Pro features plenty of additions that’ll make your head turn. Not only can you fill out PDF forms directly in the app and use it to take notes, but there’s also a handy synchronisation feature across your devices. So, if you open a document and make changes to it on your iPad, then any modifications will be automatically synced to iCloud, where they will be visible on any compatible device (PDF Max Pro also has an iPhone version).
You can also create rich text format (RTF) content in any PDF document (including images) and save these directly into your documents. There’s also support for voice memos, which is really handy if you want to get down a quick thought without having to frantically type away on your iPad’s keyboard!
Go Get It!
PDF Max Pro is currently on a special promotion at 70% off for a limited time only, so make sure you grab it whilst it’s cheap! You’ll need an iPad or iPhone that’s running iOS 6 and above, and if you need a bit more information about this great app then please feel free to visit the developer’s website or follow them on Twitter.
