Ravensword: Shadowlands

Explore the 3-D world of Ravensword, where you can gather weapons, collect hundreds of interesting objects and perfect your special abilities — all of which you’ll need to solve the intriguing storying revolving around the Kingdom of Tyreas.

In gameplay, enjoy the power to switch between first person and third person on the fly, as well as ragdoll effects, a variety of enemies, realistic combat maneuvers (including mounted combat), an original soundtrack, magical runes, and a number of weapons like bows, crossbows, hammers, swords and axes.

There’s also more to do than just engage in combat. You’ll need to become proficient at lockpicking, pick-pocketing, thievery, magical runes and more if you’re going to complete your quests and advance the storyline.

RAD soldiers

It’s time to pull together the RAD squad. You’ll lead your rag-tag team of soldiers into battles against friends and frenemies in turn-based multiplayer battles. Master new tactics, plus utilize your loot, to unlock new soldiers, weapons and outfits.

You can also practice your strategies offline in single-player challenges and spend time growing your army. And thanks to the turn-based aspect of the online battles, you can then pick up a game with friends any time, anywhere.

RAD Soldiers has been updated for the new iPhone 5 and features quirky humor and vivid cartoon graphics that you’ll have a hard time putting down.

Karateka

This side-scroller karate game from Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner is a reboot of the old classic. And the focus on the new rendition is on the action and memorable storyline redone for today’s generation.

Karateka is set in feudal Japan, and at the heart of its storyline is Mariko, who has been captured by Akuma, an evil warlord seeking to keep her for himself; meanwhile, three suitors — the fearsome Brute, the noble Monk, and the brave True Love — compete to save her.

Get in the zone with rhythm-based karate combat highlighted by art from Jeff Matsuda (The Batman) and music by Grammy winner Christopher Tin (Civilization IV).

Badly Drawn Movies

Have you met Sharpy the narwhal? Sharpy is many, many things, but a good artist he is not. And in this latest venture, the narwhal is drawing moves. Badly. If you’ve already played Badly Drawn Faces, then you know what this is all about.

Sharpy draws a scene from a movie and you try to guess the film. Sounds so simple, but the game is highly addictive. As you correctly guess movies, you earn points and fish. You can even earn bonus points if you guess the film before Sharpy finishes drawing the scene.

The fish are what you’ll feed to Sharpy in return for clues if you get stuck. Of course, you can also take to Facebook and Twitter for some help from your friends. At the time of writing, the game is on sale for $0.99.

Anomaly Korea

In this sequel to Anomaly Warzone Earth you’re a commander in charge of a squad who is tasked with defending Korea from alien robots. Lead firefights, fend of invasions of aliens, and control armored units to attack.

In a twist to tower defense games, in Anomaly Korea, it’s your job to barge into alien-controlled districts and retake the territory. To do so, you’ll have to use all your resources wisely, including soldiers, weapons, money and powers.

Test your gameplay abilities in the Art of War trials until you’re ready for the real deal in 12 new missions. Then utilize the tactical map to plan your route and execute characters’ special powers, such as speed boosts.
