This group of games has variety in spades. You’ll find a retro-inspired adventure game, a puzzler that’s reminiscent of a painter’s palette, a dark and otherworldly maze, and a MOBA (for the uninitiated, that stands for multiplayer online battle arena).
Oh, and there’s also an official tie-in with Monsters University — see if you can become the ultimate scarer by catching Archie the Scare Pig. Click “more” to catch that squealer!
Be Young. No, really, that’s the name of your main character in Anodyne: Young. And now you can play take mobile version of Sean Hogan and Jonathan Kittaka’s adventure game wherever you go.
Help Young explore and fight his way through 20 different natural, urban and abstract environments, all to the soundtrack of some very beautiful, moody music. (Visit the game’s website to learn how you can download the stunning 60-minute soundtrack.)
Enjoy more than six hours of gameplay, featuring graphics presented in a 16-bit-inspired style, with every new scene Young enters looking like something out of dream.
Blendamaze combines labyrinth-like puzzles and a vivid painter’s palette for one colorful and fun game. Test not only your puzzle-solving skills, but also your color theory knowledge in more than 150 levels that will require you to blend primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Don’t know the differences? It’s time to learn!
Your goal will be to tilt your iPad in such a way as to blend with a white marble to match a certain color. You’ll do this by expertly rolling the marble into different paints, which will then cover your marble and develop different hues. Naturally, you’ll have to work harder and harder to create the perfect shade.
Have fun with nearly infinite color combinations, realistic tilt physics, gameboard-covering paint trails, bonus “full-spectrum” levels and more. New in the latest version are analagous levels, meaning colors that are adjacent on the color wheel, and the ability to share your solved gameboards on Facebook.
Dark Nebula has been newly optimized for mobile devices (iPad and iPhone 5), with awesome HD graphics and 12 extra levels. In addition, you can revisit the 11 original levels of labyrinthine puzzles, which are now looking better than ever.
Tilt the gameboard to bounce, glide and spin your gamepiece through each of the levels, making sure to avoid traps and other hazards from start to finish. The stakes are high, and the dramatic soundtrack doesn’t do anything to take off the pressure.
What’s your playing style? Do you like to get a gold star on one level before moving on to the next? Or would you rather race through all the levels and then go back and play them all again to see if you can dominate every level on the next go around?
In a region of Haradon known as Sinskaald Rift, a war has been raging for centuries among a group of immortal warriors known as the Heroes of Order & Chaos. You and your friends can become a part of every battle by gathering your heroes and working together in this MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena).
Select from 30 different hero types, including melee bruisers, powerful wizards and everything in between. Then strengthen your heroes and upgrade their skills and equipment to render devastation upon the enemy bases.
The newest version of the game includes a steampunk-inspired map for 5v5 battles (“Under Realm Ruins”), two new heroes (Laurelei, the green guardian of Gaia, and Jombraa, a planewalker), an improved interface and challenge matchmaking system, and more.
Fall in love with monsters Mike, Sulley and Squishy all over again in this official movie tie-in. The challenge here is, of course, to become the ultimate “scarer” via two different Scare Games.
In “Catch Archie” you’ll try your best to nab Archie the Scare Pig, the mascot of Fear Tech, which would be Monster University’s rival school. Swipe to jump, slide and dodge hazards while you chase Archie around campus across 30 different stages.
And in “Toxicity Challenge” your scare-abilities will be on the line. Race the clock as you run through an utterly frightening obstacle course through the sewers. Level up to gain power-ups, and find and collection special Scare Cards.
