This week’s edition is packed with the undead — zombies, that is. Plus some balance-challenged buckets, dungeon-crawling Orcs from Argon and turtles who are ready to go to war at a moment’s notice. Take a look after the jump.

Bucketz
Meet your team of nine happy-go-lucky buckets, which you’ve been tasked with keeping properly balanced on a platform (whether it’s a beam, a couch, or other surface) by efficiently distributing the weight of their (random assortment of) contents.
While the premise is simple, certain additions make the game more challenging than one would think. For starters, the fast pace requires some pretty fast thinking. But there are also Minions and Bosses to deal with, both of which try to make your job more difficult. Think items that shapeshift, dodge your fingertips and try to kidnap your Bucketz.
The animation and sound are both well executed, which make the game’s storyline and humor all the more appealing. If you’re looking for another puzzler with some action and quick fingerwork involved, this is your game.

Gears and Guts
And the zombie wave rolls on. If you think Gears and Guts looks and feels a lot like Mutant Roadkill, you would not be incorrect. It’s also from the same developer. And yet, this is not the exact same game, because while Mutant Roadkill had you on a single path of destruction, Gears and Guts opens the door a whole lot more zombie killing.
Here the name of the game — well, in addition to killing zombies — is wide open combat in large gameplay environments. Meaning, you can drive your sports car, armored truck or monster truck right into a mob of the undead, wherever on the screen that may be.
You’ll earn different cars and weapons (zombie-seeking missiles, anyone?) as you play, which will become necessary in taking out the different categories of zombies. Because, seriously, you didn’t think there was just one kind of zombie out there, did you?

ORC: Vengence
In this RPG adventure game, you’re Rok, the Orc Warchief of Argon, and you are on a quest for vengeance since the Dark Lord has risen and enslaved your Orc brethren. The responsibility falls on your Orc shoulders to defeat him and his army.
You can choose from a large collection of weapons — two-handed battle axes, swords, war hammers — which you can buy and upgrade with the treasure you earn from breaking open chests and killing enemies. (If you hunt around enough, you’ll find the lost books of the ancients, which tells the story of the Dark Lord.)
The graphics are impressive, the combat controls are dynamic and the narrative is sure to draw in gamers who are dungeon crawler enthusiasts.

Shellrazer
So try to imagine you’re a Klang Clan Turtle Wrangler who’s trying to keep his War Turtle safe on its annual journal across the Goblin Kingdoms. Naturally, there will be legions of goblin archers, ballooners, sheep riders, mutant monsters and steampunk war machines which you will need to fight in epic battles to collect some cash and show them which turtle is boss.
Along the way, you can rescue and recruit Klang Clan prisoners, all which arrive on scene with the requisite wartime nickname, of course — get ready to meet Curtis the War Wizard, Gunnar Gunnarson the Heavy Gunner and Klang the Mechanic, among others.
You’ll have help from these friends throughout the more than 50 levels, but you’ll have to be resourceful on your own, too. As you’re traveling over continents, completing challenges, battling in the middle of the desert and in swamps, and uncovering armor and ammunition, you’re also going to want to use your stash of the super-powers, turtle food and other items wisely to accomplish your quest.

Walking Dead: The Game
The Walking Dead has come to iOS and if you aren’t already playing it, where have you been? However, for the uninitiated, I’ll fill you in. This game takes the critically acclaimed comic book series and hit TV show mobile, but you get to play a brand-new storyline. No tired plots here.
As Lee Everett, you’ve been tasked with protecting an orphan named Clementine, and it may just be your second chance at life in a world taken over by the undead. And as you wander the game’s dark and dangerous landscape teeming with corpses, every decision you make affects the storyline.
Ultimately, players will be able to enjoy five episodes, but only the first — Episode 1: A New Day — has been released so far. You do have the option of pre-ordering the remaining episodes (2 through 5) via an in-app purchase to save 25 percent; or, you’ll be able to buy each one separately as it becomes available. Note that the game is only compatible with iPad 2 and iPhone 4 and higher.
