Christmas is almost upon us and to celebrate, I have rounded up ten of the App Store’s most entertaining Christmas-themed apps for you to download and enjoy during the run-up to everyone’s favorite holiday.
Crack open the mulled wine, polish off a mince pie or several and hit the jump to get in the festive spirit!
For many people, Christmas simply cannot come quick enough and, if you are anything like myself, a countdown timer is an iPad staple come December.
Sleeps to Christmas calculates the exact number of nights, hours, minutes and seconds until Christmas Day while a festive soundtrack of songs plays in the background.

ElfYourself is, in a word, hilarious. Upload a picture of five unsuspecting friends and family members and turn them into all-singing, all-dancing elves for Christmas Day.
Boogie along to Office Party, or purchase several more themes in-app to dance the night away, elf style! You can share your creation with your victims afterwards, too, via Facebook, Twitter and email, or save it directly to your iPad to watch over and over again.

The Snowman and The Snowdog go freemium this Christmas with an endless runner-style game in which they fly over the United Kingdom, starting in Brighton.
Steer each character as they pass the Houses of Parliament, Blackpool Tower, Stonehenge and many more famous landmarks, collecting snowflakes along the way. Be careful not to crash into any obstacles, however, or you will have no choice but to pay a certain amount of snowflakes to continue your adventure.

Ever since Miley Cyrus’ controversial MTV Video Music Awards performance back in August, twerking has become a worldwide phenomenon and has spawned a multitude of apps dedicated to the dance itself.
Similar in style to the aforementioned ElfYourself, Santa’s Twerk Shop enables you to upload a picture of you and your friends under the promise of turning you into the “naughtiest little elves this side of the North Pole”. Intriguing, no?
