It’s not all too often that we get to review some amazing iOS applications years after they come out. Today we will be taking a look at Flight Control HD, which is by no means a new game, but it is most definitely one of the best to ever reach iOS. At first mention of Halfbrick, the first app that many of us think of is Fruit Ninja. It makes sense — Fruit Ninja was the developer’s first smash game, but its presence somewhat overshadows the existence of their other amazing iOS games.
One of these overshadowed games is possibly one of my favorite games of all time. The app, Jetpack Joyride, features Halfbrick’s flagship character Barry Steakfries as you go on a fun-filled journey through a science lab. With winter coming just around the corner, many of us cannot wait to hit the slopes. Skiing and snowboarding is one of the best ways to enjoy the winter snow; unfortunately, the season is short and many of us are not able to capitalize on the opportunity before it’s too late.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 brings together legendary characters from the Marvel and Capcom franchises together in an action-packed flurry of fists and other appendages that goes beyond the word cool. If there is one thing that the iPad is great at doing, it’s gaming. As the iPad’s specs have been upgraded, more and more “heavy-duty” games have filled the App Store. Unfortunately, these new games can overshadow the great, simply fun games.
Today’s roundup will showcase fifteen arcade-style games for iPad. There’s no long plot line or fancy graphical fireworks in any of these games, but they do provide you with hours of classic entertainment. See which games made the cut after the break.
About a week or so ago, all of a sudden, I started receiving an onslaught of people asking me “What’s your high score on Temple Run?” I’d never heard of the game, but the sheer mass of people enquiring about my standing made me think it was something significant, so I decided to download it and give it a whirl.
Temple Run is a very simple, casual game that fits into the same category as blockbuster time wasters Angry Birds and Doodle Jump. It’s an endless runner, where you’ll try to escape a team of demon monkeys by navigating a network of pathways in a state of disrepair.
