It was a tuesday, and since I got home from the office early that day, I decided to pop into my son’s daycare to take him home. As I open the door, I see him (wearing a fireman’s hat) with two other boys, all crowded around a PC screen. They keep touching the CRT and my son says, “It’s broken.”
The touchscreen — and more specifically, the popularity of the iPhone and iPad — have changed the way we interact with technology. A few years ago, Steve Jobs was insistent that touchscreen computers just weren’t going to take off. But my three-year-old boy says different. And I think he might be right. (more…)
Today, Apple unveiled their newest iteration of iOS (appropriately called iOS 7) at WWDC. It features a complete redesign that re-envisions what is possible with an iPhone and iPad while adding a ton of great new features that make it even better for Apple’s power users. We’re doing some research here around these parts, and when comparing the numbers between the iPhone and iPad sites, we get a lot more visitors on the iPhone side of things. It made me wonder how many of our iPhone.AppStorm readers own an iPad, and how many iPad.AppStorm readers own an iPhone.
Here’s my guess: most of our iPad.AppStorm readers own an iPhone (over 50%), but less than 25% of our iPhone.AppStorm readers own an iPad.
So am I right or am I way off base? Let me know in the poll to the right.
