When I first bought my iPad, one of the first apps I installed was Air Display. I figured that using it in tandem with my MacBook Air would give me a great way to gain extra screen real estate, particularly when I’m on the go. After talking to a few of my buddies about the subject, it turns out that they too were using their iPads for the same reason.

When Apple released the new iPad this past March, its most hyped feature was the Retina display that doubled the screen resolution to 2048 × 1536. The new display looked amazing, but it made nearly all previous wallpapers worthless.
